ProsperUS on Anniversary of Pres. Biden’s Inauguration: Strong Investments Made in Year One, More Needed Quickly in Year Two
Washington, DC (January 20, 2022) – Today, Claire Guzdar, spokesperson for ProsperUS, released the following statement on the one-year anniversary of President Biden’s inauguration:
“President Biden’s first year in office delivered some incredible successes. The American Rescue Plan boosted the economy, led to historic job growth, lifted millions of children out of poverty, and helped families across the country keep their heads above the water amid the ongoing pandemic. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will rebuild America’s roads, bridges and rails, expand access to clean drinking water and high-speed internet, and shore up our supply chains. And the Administration’s recent actions to defeat corrosive corporate power will help ensure our economy works for all of us, not just CEOs and shareholders.
“There is a lot to celebrate in one short year, but our economic recovery is at risk without further action. The need for additional public investments in climate resilience, jobs, health care, child care, and more couldn’t be clearer. When the Senate returns to work, ProsperUS hopes and expects that they will act immediately to deliver Pres. Biden’s Build Back Better agenda.”
