More than 80 Progressive Groups React to $3.5 Trillion Budget Resolution

ProsperUS coalition urges House to act quickly to build on this new floor

Washington, D.C. — Yesterday, Claire Guzdar, spokesperson for ProsperUS, released the following statement in response to the Senate budget resolution bill, which would allocate $3.5 trillion to deliver on investments in climate, care, racial justice, and jobs. Lawmakers are still ironing out specifics for a bipartisan ‘hard’ infrastructure bill.

“For months, we have pushed Congress to fearlessly and boldly commit the public resources needed to meet the historic challenges we face. Now that the Senate’s topline spending number has been released, the House should act quickly to build on this new floor. Above all, Congress must ensure that every cent goes towards creating jobs, combatting the climate crisis, reducing inequality, and making our economy stronger and more just.”
